On 19 May 2022, Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of the Trade and Investment Division (TID) of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the panel sessions of the Conference on the 70th Anniversary of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit online.
Focusing on topics on how to jointly overcome difficulties, revitalise the world economy, and pursue innovation-driven and green development, heads of CCPIT, American Chamber of Commerce in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and other business associations, together with representatives from China General Technology Group and TCL, exchanged views on the future development and prospects for cooperation in key areas such as health, energy conservation and emission reduction, digital transformation, and the opening up of investment market.
Delegates concurred that the world is faced with both opportunities and challenges under the current economic situation, and the pandemic and climate change issues have prompted countries to step up digital transformation, low-carbon economic development and health cooperation, which has injected new impetus into the global economic and trade recovery in the post-pandemic era. Business communities in all countries should seize development opportunities, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in key areas, continue to promote innovative development, strive to implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and make greater contributions to trade and investment growth as well as economic recovery and prosperity in the region and around the world.
