On 6 December 2024, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) called on the Chinese Ambassador Wang Wenbin to Cambodia in Phnom Penh. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on further advancing the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and building Cambodia-China community with a shared future. Both sides also looked forward to strengthening communication and cooperation between the ACC and the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia under the framework of the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges and Cambodia-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges, and making joint efforts in enhancing practical cooperation and people-to-people connectivity through delivering more concrete programs and activities between ASEAN and China, as well as Cambodia and China.
