Shi Zhongjun pointed out that, under the framework of the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges in 2024 and in 2025, ASEAN and China have hosted and will host various cultural exchange activities, which have contributed to enhancing the friendship, and furthering the communication and cooperation between both sides. Looking ahead, China is willing to work with Indonesia to continue to jointly build a community with a shared future, featuring peaceful coexistence and mutual benefit under the spirit of inclusiveness and openness.

Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun expressed his gratitude for the ACC’s support in hosting the event. He highly acknowledged the importance of bilateral relations and stated that, both countries have worked together to deepen cooperation in politics, economy and people-to-people exchanges and have made great achievements in various areas. The Embassy of Indonesia will keep on deepening the collaboration with the ACC to promote cultural exchanges and foster better understanding and deeper trust among the young generations, contributing to a stronger bilateral friendship as well as a closer ASEAN-China relationship.

The guests watched the film “Tulang Belulang Tulang” which was just released in Indonesia in September this year. The film showcases Indonesia’s cultural characteristics and social landscapes from a unique perspective, bringing a wonderful audio-visual experience to the audience.

After watching the film, the students shared their ideas inspired by the movie. They had a deeper insight into the true meaning of life. Meanwhile, they also better understood the local customs and culture of Indonesia. ASEAN diplomats had friendly exchanges with the students and jointly tasted the special cuisines and snacks of China and Indonesia.
